Reader I'm not a big Marvel fan, but this line from the Toby Maguire Spiderman movie has stuck in my brain: "With great power comes great responsibility." Last Thursday I taught my Human Operating System model to a group of nonprofit leaders. The punchline is simple: You have tremendous power and influence over the results you get.
Reader, I am keeping it short and simple this week. I am choosing my perspective and I want you to join me in doing the same. Today I have two calls about potential new speaking opportunities. Tomorrow I head to Omaha to speak at the Nebraska SHRM conference later this week. One story I catch myself telling is that I am very busy right now and it is overwhelming. This morning I stopped myself and changed the story: It is raining opportunities and I am dancing in the rain. My situation is exactly the same but my attitude about my situation is totally different. Overwhelmed is no longer a bad thing. Now it is abundance in action, and I feel energized to meet the moment. I am being the better version of myself because I stopped the "stinkin' thinkin'". Now it us your turn, Reader. What "stinkin' thinkin'" trap is gunning for your peace of mind? How will you flip the script and create your own dancing in the rain shift? Hit me up and share your story. PS - Does your team or professional membership group need this reminder? I'd love an introduction. The BEST Review of Show Up Positive Ever

I grab my phone to see if there's enough time to play one more game and I notice the missed call. I pop open the call log and see it is from my client. I do the mental head slap. "Oh, $h!t. Was my meeting with her today???" I...
